Warta Kema — ‘The Devil Wears Prada 2’ is coming to theatres around the world, including Indonesia! The sequel to the first movie itself, ‘The Devil Wears Prada,’ has already begun to run in Indonesia on (29/4). One of the theatres in Indonesia that has the sequel available is Plaza Indonesia, one of the most iconic department stores in Jakarta.
The first movie tells a story about a young journalist, Andrea “Andy” Sachs, who started her first job as an assistant at a fashion magazine, ‘Runway.’ Andy’s struggle to survive her job as an assistant is shown clearly in the first movie until she eventually leaves the job. While the second movie tells about Andy’s comeback to ‘Runway’ as the new editor of features. ‘The Devil Wears Prada 2’ shows the development of both Andy and Miranda’s character, which can be seen through their hard work as a team, with Nigel, to save ‘Runway.’
While the movie is released on the 29th, the installation itself is already available from (23/04) to (15/05). So, the movie came out after its installation opened at Plaza Indonesia. Then, what is on the set’s plate?
Arriving at Plaza Indonesia’s East Lobby, Ground Floor, a giant red high-heeled pump greets the visitors. The red pump itself has been the icon of the movie ever since the first movie came out. The iconic pump has never left the main movie poster, from the first movie to the sequel’s poster. There are also flower arrangements and a large mirror accompanying the pump installation.

Behind the red pump installation, a sign installation with the movie title is available to be visited. The sign “The Devil Wears Prada 2” introduces the full set of the installation which also includes the movie’s Indonesian release date in front of the movie title.
Moving to the next installation, there is a corner bookshelf that is usually seen in a 2000s movie. The bookshelf consists of different issues of ‘Runway’ magazine, which Miranda, Andy, Emily, and Nigel devoted their life to in the movie. Without a spoiler, there is an issue where Emily is on the cover of the magazine.

Right beside the bookshelf, the visitors will find Miranda Priestley’s office set. The iconic set of Miranda Priestly’s office, without the real view of New York City, is out there for anyone to see and take pictures of the set. Will there be a second chance for the visitors to sit behind Miranda Priestly’s famous desk while talking on the phone to Demarchelier?

Turning to the set behind the office set, the Elias-Clarke Production’s lift that took Andy to her first day in ‘Runway’ will catch all eyes fully. The physical witness of Andy Sachs’ first interaction with Emily Charlton has to go in the Louvre, or at least a camera roll, right?

Alongside the ‘Runway’ front desk, the lift offers the visitors the opportunity to take a photo with the photobooth inside the elevator. Wear the cerulean blue and Chanel boots and immediately pose inside the lift while ‘Vogue’ by Madonna plays in the background.

The sequel to the first movie, ‘The Devil Wears Prada’, is back with Andrea “Andy” Sachs and Miranda Priestly to show the world how fashion works.
The installation of ‘The Devil Wears Prada 2′ is finally available to visit in Jakarta, Indonesia. The set is waiting for visits from fashion enthusiasts until (15/05). People can take pictures with and/or of the iconic red pump from the first movie’s title, Miranda Priestly’s famous office, and the front desk of ‘Runway’ magazine. A visit to the official set after watching the movie sounds really nice, right?
